Formliners and embedded brick for tilt-up panels
Formliners and thin brick that lay flat on the casting slab and release at the lift.
Patterns and systems.
Solocast and Flex2Fit for thin brick. Seamless pattern liners for stone and other textures.
Notes for the crew.
- Liners lay flat on the slab and hold position through the pour.
- Thin brick is set flat, at grade.
- Draft is planned so the texture releases as the panel goes vertical.
Common questions.
- How does a thin brick formliner work on a tilt-up panel?
- The brick sets into the liner on the flat casting slab, and the panel casts on top of it. When the panel is lifted vertical, the brick is already cast into the face. The building reads as masonry, with the brick work done flat at grade.
- Will the liner strip clean when the panel is lifted?
- Yes. The liners lay flat, hold through the pour, and release at the lift. Draft is set so the texture comes away without chipping as the panel goes vertical.
- Can Flex2Fit handle brick that is not uniform on a tilt-up job?
- Yes. Flex2Fit seals around brick that varies in size, shape, and texture, with no ledge, and it is multi use. On a tilt-up job with real brick variation, that keeps the mortar lines clean and lets you run the liner again.
